Anita Mui – Cervical Cancer

Anita Mui was one of the most famous Eastern singers, and was at one point, dubbed as “The Madonna of Hong Kong”. Major credits go to her powerful voice and remarkable stage presence. Mui was suffering from cervical cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy in hope for a cure. It was tragic that the disease got the better of her. Mui passed away at the age of 40 on December 30, 2003.
