Gina Mastrogiacomo – Myocarditis

Gina Mastrogiacomo was known as one of Martin Scorsese’s finer discoveries and went on to play characters in The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear and Goodfellas. On May 2, 2001, Gina passed away due to a terminal heart infection called myocarditis. She was only 39 and had a lot more movies to do. We couldn’t even tell if there was a treatment that could have saved her.
