Will Young won the first season of Pop Idol in 2002 and hasn’t looked back since; he later also got fifth in World Idol. His debut single Anything Is Possible was the fastest-selling debut single in the UK, and he has had three albums go multi-platinum in the years since. Having been a student of politics, Young also studied musical theater, and it appears his second choice has worked out quite nicely. He has received two BRIT Awards and was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role in Cabaret.
