Ed Sheeran broke through with American audiences in 2013 thanks to a leg up from some famous friends. That year, he co-wrote a few of the songs on Taylor Swift’s Red and performed alongside Sir Elton John at the Grammys. These big breaks may have inspired Sheeran to change his image. Starting in 2015, the ginger singer began consuming green juices and eliminating pizza and beer from his diet. Sheeran, who told People in 2015 that he hadn’t been hitting the gym while on the road, has lost about 50 pounds as of 2018.
