Claudine Auger – Thunderball (1965)
Auger studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and appeared in her first film while still there. Marrying 41-year-old writer-director Pierre Gaspard-Huit when she was only 18, she then appeared in many of his films. Writer-producer Kevin McClory spotted her in the Bahamas for the role of Domino in his Bond film Thunderball. The role was meant for an Italian, but the producers loved Auger and rewrote the script. Though never that famous in the US, despite a semi-nude Playboy spread, Auger ended up having a successful film career in Europe.
