Barney Martin – Lung Cancer

Before he entered showbiz, Barney Martin spent two long decades working with the NYPD as an officer and detective. His best role came as the father of Jerry in Seinfeld. The doctors diagnosed him to have lung cancer, and extensive treatment helped him live happily for another few years. He lost the long battle though, and passed away at 82, on March 21, 2005.
