Kirsten Perez’ appearance on My 600-lb life was marred with her admittance that she was brutalized and abused by a gang when she was just a teen. With no moral support from her family (especially her son) and a dark past haunting her, she had initially refused from undergoing a gastric sleeve surgery; but a plea from the doctors convinced her to consider her health and ultimately save her life!
